First time two players on the same team scored a triple double in a playoff game
They’ve come close, just haven’t gotten there. Injuries disrupt Jamal just enough, MPJ hasn’t had the consistency, and AG was honestly getting the hype for it last year but just didn’t quite make it. None of them All Stars but I’d say they can all be close, especially in the playoffs when it matters.
I’ve said it before but people forget, historically MPJ is a really good shooter, and it’s why despite the slump his increased defense and rebounding is so hype-inducing. Because his shots WILL fall again, like they did last night, and he’ll keep defending and rebounding and suddenly he’s an All Star.
Jokic remains a god, Jamal remains the secret sauce that elevates the team, and while the regular season is whatever god help the teams that face a healthy Nuggets squad in the playoffs.
I swear the refs started giving Jokic a few free throws at the end of the 3rd just to ruin the “ethical buckets” comment I was writing in my head
Ok but it’s the “apology” merited by the situation he describes. He should acknowledge it’s wrong to push, while also providing his (valid) explanation
In all seriousness, what a great game to help pick up our bench. They’ve had some rough ones, this’ll be great for us moving forward. Also Jokic getting any rest for his wrist is wonderful even if we had lost.
Cleveland didn't bring enough refs. We didn't just beat the bad refs, we blew them away.
Fuck you refs keep it interesting
Man that's a hell of a statement to just slip in there like that, impressive levels of hubris tbh
Not yet but I'd say it's one of the hurdles. Hit 3+ MVPs, at least 2 rings, and what, 8+ more years of elite play?
They’re easily above him by volume, but man if you adjust for the time Jokic has had I think he’s right with them.
