I thought it was hyperbole, that sucks. If your using an Nvidia card from before 2014(kepler) those drivers aren't officially being supported anymore on linux. I'd recommend upgrading, maybe going used if your strapped for cash. 20series and later is getting a lot of love rn so id probably wouldn't go older than 20 series.

It doesn't mean much, it's just a metric people like around here. This number can grow and shrink just as easily with spoofed user agents strings. I think brave spoofs it and there's a chrome extension, there maybe a few more examples.
I wouldn't take it at face value is what I'm getting at. There's just no other way to measure because most distros don't collect telemetry and Firefox doesn't seem to make theirs public.
I don't know if it's still needed or if discord updates to a newer version of electron that supports Wayland.
This should help if you need to support screen capture in x11 apps. XWayland video bridge
This is what happens when your card goes out on a bender.
It's still buttry smooth, you just have to downgrade back to x11 when the Nvidia drivers shit in there hands and claps.
Sorry I've been reinstalling my computer about once a week.
Point one, you feel like a fuckin hacker... Point two, profit
The auto updates tools in Debian does allow you to specify security only or security and packages but not kernel. Mix and match, specify a version to stay on, include back ports, etc.
If it's a personal server that can manage being down for 15min or so. You could just setup auto updates with email if anything goes wrong and reboot off hours. Containers also make it less risky although it does fail to update every once in a great while.
It is a much better way to run volatile server apps that are changing at breakneck speed.
I don't watch LTT anymore thanks to Gamers Nexus. I was shopping for a new graphics card for my mother's desktop and I did see the confusing inconsistencies they were talking about in at least one video.
It just seemed like an improvement to switch to AMD from Nvidia ever since she switched to Linux. I'll watch this later!
I've seen both very passionate tone deaf communities and very inclusive friendly communities. Steer a course and you might find calmer waters.
