Brand worshipping. Like - really? It bloody doesn't matter if you're using Sokon, Cany or Ninon. Each and every brand does amazing gear, stop rubbing one out on the one you chose!

Oversharpened edits with unnecessary HDR to boot.

Ironing out every last bit of structure in water or clouds with ND filters. (now that's of course very subjective but I simply do not like the look)

My own photos. I am just crap.

Some of my favorite channels do some gear related once in a while, but those are far and in between. For example Ted Forbes (The Art of Photography), Thomas Heaton, Nigel Danson, e6 Vlogs, First Man Photography, Hudson Henry, Mike Smith Photography

Photography as much as writing (I do both) suffer from the same problem: Everyone thinks he could do it. But only because you are able to hold a pen you do not become a gifted author and because you can press a shutter release button you still aren't a photographer. That's the misunderstanding people fall victim of and which diminishes the appreciation of our work. It might be sickening but I fear it is something we will have to live with.

A short telephoto, if possible kind of fast. Usually my 1.8 85 (versatile and light) or my 1.4 105 (bulky but optically a beast).
