I wonder what percentage of people who would be put off by Budweiser caving to bigots so quickly would actually regularly drink Budweiser in the first place?

Me too. That’s exactly what I remember.

Where was that? I found compsci to be an extremely supportive environment where almost everyone was trying to help each other.

Tech workers often don’t make enough money for it to make sense to live in the city long term unless it’s really important to them. If they have kids, this goes double. A lot of people commute from upstate and that is a hellish commute, even by train.

but then usually it gets counterbalanced by their “fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” tendencies.

Thats why the ~fascists~ PragerU is re-educating their children now.

That sounds lonely. We all live together. Sharing is a much better default than walling everyone off and judging everyone for sharing really basic parts of life is kind of sad. Obviously there are limit, but “we’re trying to have a baby” and “I’m having surgery” shouldn’t be something that we’re pressured to not share.

that’s incredibly prudish to not even want someone to say they’re trying for a baby.

Somehow gen z’s early exposure to porn has made them more prudish than the religious. Literally. I’ve Seen so many posts on Reddit and had real life conversations with gen z people where they’ve said that they hate when couples publicly say their trying for a baby because it means they’re being “creampied” and that’s awkward for them.

Good point. It’s been such a long time since I’ve had to use the secret that I forgot it existed.

If they have vaults downloaded, then they can rapidly brute force the vault passwords and would like be able to decrypt a lot of them.

I didn’t contradict anything I wrote. What do you care about books if you can’t even read?

"what non piracy reasons are there"

"If you have nothing to hide then what's the problem with putting a camera in the bathroom. What non crime reasons could there be?"

You’re being silly. This wouldn’t inconvenience any legitimate buyer. And pirated material is in epub format already or can easily be converted to it.
