KD was a phenomenal outside scorer in college though. Wemby has been terrible at every level he played at.
sus_menik
He was phenomenal inside in France last year as well, but was atrocious anywhere outside the paint.
I have no idea why people are trying to make him into something he is not, instead of focusing on his strengths.
Chris Paul and everyone else. I really think he hates everyone's guts lol.
My point is that he so far has been an atrocious outside scorer on virtually every level he has played on. While guys like KP or Durant were struggling early on in the NBA, they were outstanding shooters before coming to the league, so there was some kind of a track record already.
Why are people so hyped up on Wembanyama as a perimeter scorer? He is absolutely an amazing rim protector and inside scorer, but why do people expect him to become KD or KP?
Wemby will be a below average perimeter scorer for his career and eventually will become mainly a PnR/PnP and put back guy. Comparing him to guys like KD and KP is just ridiculous.
Most Athletic: Wilt
If we are looking at athleticism alone, it is probably some obscure benchwarmer. I lost count how many super athletic freaks were there in the NBA that just weren't that good at basketball.
I mean technically Bol Bol can get any shot he wants as well. It is about making them at a decent percentage.
I'm not convinced that less games leads to significantly longer longevity.
Are there any statistics on how many games teams play with their regular jerseys during the course of the regular season?
It is getting a bit ridiculous tbh.
As of now - Wembanyama's outside shot. He obviously will improve but right now he is a sub par shooter with terrible %. People compare him to guys like Porzingis and Durant, but it is not even close to them even early on in their careers.
Jokic literally had one of the best offensive games this season against him. I guess you could also make Jordan Poole look like Steph if you only show the makes.
