Your client most likely booked you because they want pictures of themselves or specific people and don't think the "official" photographer will be able to capture enough of their people. So, I wouldn't feel bad about taking maybe 5% of their potential sales when it's all said and done.

Contact your credit card and dispute the charge.

I like the 70-200/2.8 for full car images and don't forget how the background affects the shots. I will also use a 16-35/4 and 50/1.2 on interior and detail shots.

If they want unlimited use, I will have to quote an appropriate feee for it. As long as the client pays my fee, I understand the potential usage.

Be specific on the usage or they will think that they own the images. Will they be giving images to clients for their own website, social and potential Advertising? I would stick with a per item price and get half the fee upfront to confirm the dates or you'll be fighting over invoices, guaranteed. Do not forget to account for your images processing, editing and delivery or you'll turn resentful quickly. If they are stingy, I'd consider that the first red flag.

I recently shot a project through them, the client is friends of the investors and the rate was very good. Like all of the freelance websites, I only pursue projects that offer proper rates and let others fight over the lowball shoots.

Forget credit, I would want to get paid.

What body, DSLR or Mirrorless? If DSLR, I would buy a clean used F2.8 with image stabilization. If Mirrorless, an F4 with IS will be fine.
