For some reason clothes soak up the nasty smells the most, but to my nose the room ends up smelling quite nice for a few days. Talking about cigars

Apparently there are some people that live under the illusion that nicotine doesn't actually do anything, I saw one of these guys in another thread. I'm sure whoever placed them under that illusion did it with good intentions, but the implication that there are people getting hooked on it every day just to look cool is so funny

Long wedge are the juiciest ones

Says who? Just look it up. What kind of world are you living in where people get hooked on drugs that don't even work? Hahahahaha

It should have been marketed as the moba you play casually with friends, and it would have done great

Yeah, people just don't really seem to care at all

The correlation between code quality and game quality is almost negative. When you're doing groundbreaking stuff or going for your own artistic vision it's tough to code well, even more so when you hit a jackpot and have to expand quickly (e.g. League spaghetti, Palworld)

Do you yell at waiters by any chance?

How will any system fjx this, though? There will always be disasters, hunger, war, crime...

There's something to be said about choosing not to care about some stuff, though. Being constantly contemplating every single crisis in the world and worrying equally about them all will be damaging to your mental health... And these days there are more pressing issues than the moths to me. It's not that I don't value them

lmao this is my favorite so far. May you elaborate on why you find this so interesting?

[–] theblips@lemm.ee 3 points 1 month ago

True but a downvote magnet on Lemmy. But I would dispute the "benefit" part... What exactly is the benefit in not having to learn anything? Why would I even want to exist if not to be good at something and create something? It just seems like we're building towards stuff that's better than us at doing what WE want to do as a society. Thinking about chess here: why would I care about the best Stockfish moves in every line of my favorite opening if no one will ever be able to explain them?
