For Latin America I would say a Grayl water filter bottle is a must-have. Unfortunately I lost mine on the way home after my first trip with it, but I immediately bought another one. It's $100, but definitely worth it when tap water isn't safe. Also great for long walks during the day that may have a waterfall/stream.

Taiwan was my first solo trip (and first time in Asia). It was amazing. Indonesia was my second one. I would suggest Taiwan for the internet stability. Try to learn a little Chinese as well.

Correct. I've been told Google Flights is about as good as it gets. My airport on East Coast isn't one of the big hubs unfortunately.

Going is a service that provides you with the best flight deals. The Premium subscription is $50/yr and Elite is $200/yr (both are on sale $25 off now).

Does anyone here use them? Premium gives you deals on economy fairs while Elite gives you first/business class offers (for those with points to use).

Paid $1600 USD to Indonesia earlier this year. That was for vacation though.

How's the internet? If it's any good, you should post your accommodation to https://thewirednomad.com

I've read some places like Mexico will charge you an extra fee if you want to bring more than one computer into the country.
