My hope is mostly utilitarian--there to put up a good front so I don't discourage others.
I even do believe that humanity will survive. However, it's pretty clear climate catastrophe will shift from having an indirect death toll in the hundreds of thousands to having a direct death toll in the tens of millions. It's going to be extremely, extremely rough.
FIDE, the international governing body for chess, is a shit, utterly corrupt organization that has been captured by Russia for years. The French chess federation, Canada, and even the USA have actually been supportive of trans players.

It's a fair cop really. Lots of my peers buying this antisocial, toxic, "fuck everyone, I got mine" garbage. Still when I get on the front line protesting and stuff, very encouraged to see a mix of people from all ages and other demographics. It's everyone's fight to make a kinder world.
If it was built with public money, it should be appropriated to public use.
Or after being overworked and pressured to take unnecessary risks.
Neither of us knows for sure, but I know how people who work with animals are often treated.
