Public employees under the GMB union. The council is the employer.

RICO prosecution requires multiple acts wherein members set up an "illegal coordinated scheme or operation (a "racket") to repeatedly or consistently collect a profit" through coercion, fraud or extortion.
How in the hell is this going to apply to loosely organized voluntary protesters who are unarmed in the face of heavily armed police?

This is stupid. This case is going to fall apart.

Triple property taxes for units not occupied by owners. Quick fix.

That seems to be the race we're in. Discovering as much it before we destroy it and the environment they and we depend on for survival.

It totally is. That's mentioned in the article:

Purpureocillium species share many similarities with those of their sister genus Ophiocordyceps, which includes the “zombifying” fungi that hijack the bodies of their insect prey and are featured in the apocalyptic television show and video game The Last of Us.

Biden's been doing a lot of good work for labor and the unions. I don't think he's really even started campaigning yet for 2024. Really wouldn't be surprised to see him come out with a list of actual working class accomplishments and sweep the electoral college in a way that republicans aren't even prepared to answer.

Most folks aren't really tuned into half his actually delivered wins. If they play these cards right, Biden could show up with a flush and blind side the competition.

Not sure about any downvotes. I can't even see them from kbin. This is just the news as it was reported. I shared the article as I know next to nothing about this guy and found it to be a good explainer. Relatively brief and easy to follow. Also, I often get extra insight from the discussion around the news, sometimes more than from the articles themselves. Glad you enjoyed the read.

Any evolution or opportunity for it through any spread, especially in human adjacent vectors, is super bad news. A respiratory communicable rabies would be a potential "doomsday virus". We really don't want rabies picking up any new tricks.

They did. That happened. Just a few weeks ago.

The blast took place at Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant, in the town of Sergiev Posad, TASS reported. The plant is a developer and manufacturer for optical and optoelectronic devices for the Russian military, law enforcement agencies, industry and healthcare.

We've had a huge crop of Armenian cucumbers, this year. They just won't stop. Been juicing them by the gallon, to just drink. And, marinating them in mirin/rice vinegar/sesame oil w garlic for simple salads with just chopped tomatoes stirred in.

I'm sorry to hear it's like that, and sad to report it's getting that way here, more and more; though we don't have a word for it, yet.

You sound like a good person. Glad to have chatted. Best luck.
