Best advice on this thread.

To add on, since you're already have a working arrangement that you're comfortable with, let the product bring in some revenue before you quit your job.

$1k MRR would be ideal

Been a long time lurker on this sub, just like to share what got my little passion project over 20k views in a month:

IndieHustle.co is a little site where I interview indie founders on how they started and grew their businesses.

What worked:

HackerNews

- Leaving comments and engaging with related posts on HN has been beneficial. Although I did not have any posts or comments that went viral, but I got a healthy amount of traffic coming in from this source regularly.

Tried a number of #ShowHN posts but didn't get more than 3 upvotes on these posts.

Reddit

- Similar to HN, I used the same strategy and it has helped, but not as much as the traffic I am getting from HN.

- Did had a post went viral on r/Entrepreneur 3 months ago, but no traffic has come in from this source for the last month

What didn't:

Twitter / X

Spending time and effort to tweet and engage with others on Twitter has not borne any fruits yet. Less than 1k traffic is from Twitter, although I do see some potential coming from using the #buildinpublic hashtag in my tweets.

Next steps

Will continue to work on Twitter as I feel this channel has potential, but will be a slow and arduous process.

Looking forward to work on LinkedIn and SEO next for IndieHustle.co, if anyone has any tips, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reading, and thank you to this sub for giving me the motivation to start my own r/SideProject!

Extremely thankful for the support I've received on this subreddit when I launched this little passion project, and also the indie founders who I've met here and interviewed on the site.

Big thank you to all

Amazing 👏 How much does Google Adsense pay you per month for that much views?

I feature interviews with founders of niche sites like yours.

Would love to be able to feature your story too.

u/Iceman_033 Could you share what industry you're in + the name of your business?

Would love to feature your experience on this site where I interview indie founders like yourself on how they started and grew their businesses.

Amazing.

I noticed that you mentioned these marketing strategies are generated from A.I

I'd be happy to help out to improve your tool as I interviewed indie founders here on how they started and grew their businesses.

This should be the top comment in this thread.

Most of the SaaS founders that I've interviewed attributed their success to priortizing their marketing over building.

Build it (and marketing the sh*t out of it), and then they will come

Why don't you consider packaging up your knowledge and make money via digital products?

For example:

I run this site where I interview indie founders on how they started and grew their business and side hustles.

Hope you find something there for yourself. All the best!

How do you monetize?

Love to hear more about your story.

I run this site where I feature stories and interviews about how indie founders like yourself bootstrapped their own businesses.

Would love to be able to feature your business.
