[Recommendation request] I feel very out of place on this sub with all the really cool watches. But I really need some suggestions on a watch to gift my Fiancé. Budget about 200-300$ or lesser. in c/watches@style.land

JK, there are a lot of nice watches in that range. The one's mentioned are good. I have a citizen that's one of my daily. It looks nice and I love wearing it. A lot of people love Seiko, but I just can't get into them for some unfortunate reason. I've Neve tried on an Orient, but they look pretty good I think. Not sure, but Tissot might be out of price range.

I mean maybe I'm missing something. I really don't get why a Rolex is all that. I mean it's ok, but why is it worth so much? Like, I've bought cars for less than what they want for a watch. Its is just name brand? I mean, for 5-700 bucks you can get a damn nice piece. Why is a Rolex worth so dang much?

The price of a Rolex is too dang high!
