Hey everyone! I know we're all excited about Silksong, and it's coming surprisingly soon. Given the hype around it and everything, I'm expecting a massive influx of users and posts in this community soon. To avoid spoilers and to properly manage this, I've got a few rules to lay out. These will last for at least all of September, and I'll assess whether anything needs relaxing after that.

1. No spoilers of any kind in titles.
This seems obvious, but there is no way to hide the title of posts on Lemmy, so scrolling through will already result in spoilers if they're in the title. You can post about Silksong, obviously, but mentions of boss names, areas, lore, etc. should be left to the body of the post. Instead, say something like "[Silksong] This boss is..." or "[Silksong] I'm lost in this area, please help?"

2. Tag posts relating to Silksong.
Like with the samples above, make sure you clearly mention that the post is about Silksong. Alternatively, if this is too much of a hassle, there is another Silksong community at !silksong@kitty.ly which I assume would have less restrictions. Come back here after a month.

3. Use spoiler tags in any comments on posts not already about Silksong
You do not need to spoiler any comments in [Silksong] posts, but use your best judgement as to whether one should be used, based on what the post is about and where in the game that is. For any other post, though, you MUST use a spoiler tag,

like sohornet is void omg

4. Please be nice, and use your best judgement. Moderation is gonna be challenging when I'm also trying to avoid spoilers. If something is clearly out of line, please report it. But know that I might take a while to respond, since I'll also be playing Silksong.

To that end, I am also looking for moderators if anyone is interested. I made this community years ago now and have not had to moderate this much at all, and I am well aware that there will be a lot more activity coming soon.

Similarly, I am open to updating the graphics in the community, including the icon and the banner. (The icon will only be changed if someone makes a new piece of custom artwork, though, given this was created for this communitty a while back).

For moderating, just reply to this post. For graphics, feel free to make it a separate post.

  • Fixed situation where players could remain cloakless after Slab escape sequence.

  • Fixed wish Infestation Operation often not being completable during the late game.

  • Fixed wish Beast in the Bells not being completable when Bell Beast is summoned at the Bilewater Bellway during the late game.

  • Fixed getting stuck floating after down-bouncing on certain projectiles.

  • Fixed courier deliveries sometimes being inaccessible in the late game.

  • Fixed craft bind behaving incorrectly when in memories.

  • Fixed Lace tool deflect soft-lock at start of battle in Deep Docks.

  • Fixed Silk Snippers in Chapel of the Reaper sometimes getting stuck out of bounds.

  • Fixed Claw Mirrors leaving Hornet inverted if taking damage during a specific moment while binding.

  • Fixed Snitch Pick not giving rosaries and shell shards as intended.

  • Fixed Swamp Squits becoming invincible if hit under water.

  • Fixed instance where Lugoli could leave the arena and not return.

  • Removed float override input (down + jump, after player has Faydown Cloak).

  • Slight difficulty reduction in early game bosses Moorwing and Sister Splinter.

  • Reduction in damage from Sandcarvers.

  • Slight increase in pea pod collider scale.

  • Slight reduction in mid-game Bellway and Bell Bench prices.

  • Slight increase in rosary rewards from relics and psalm cylinders.

  • Increase in rosary rewards for courier deliveries.

  • Various additional fixes and tweaks.

Early game mechanic issue, a couple hours in. I'm wondering if it's just a weird game mechanic or if there's something wrong with my setup.

spoilerI just unlocked the dash/sprint, and I'm not quite getting how it's intended to work. I can't seem to just do a quick dash, I have to hit the trigger again to stop running, and now Hornet starts running every time I climb a platform. I'm pretty sure it's not intended to be like this.

I am loving the new game. Especially that the devs didn't just extend hk but there are new mechanics like hornets downwards attack or the builtin kinda mantis claw. And the attack patterns of the enemy's. Its so much fun!

Anybody else getting wrecked in this part of the game? This boss runback is so damn difficult.

Even the boss fodder does 2 masks of damage sometimes

Shopping cart was loading flawlessly, and managed to get my payment page loaded after about 10 tries. Just keep going back if the payment page fails to load and click Payment button again.
