JD Vance sought last week to use a military helicopter to ferry himself and his son across Washington for a golf lesson, one of a number of allegedly unusual travel requests that has left the Republican’s security detail “fed up,” MS Now reports.

The alleged travel plans aboard Marine Two were ultimately canceled due to weather, but Secret Service agents nonetheless discussed it among themselves unhappily, according to the outlet.

Past vice presidents have had Secret Service agents drive their children to activities, rather than use military hardware, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars per hour to operate.

I can't speak for anyone outside the US.

But here, polling lower than Jimmy Carter puts you among the worst, if not the worst, US presidents ever. That he was elected twice is irrelevant.

Carter wasn't that bad (though we was a centrist while in office, and only later adopted some based political views). There was biased media back then, too, and the thing that made him look worst was the Iran hostage crisis, which Reagan colluded with the mullahs to prolong for just that purpose.

He was objectively a shitty president, but yes, Reagan's meddling didn't help things.

It is very much relevant. He was polling worse than Carter in his first term. Didn't help much, did it? He won even bigger the second time.

Obviously it did, as he lost the 2020 election, unless we're ignoring cause and effect.

The problem isn't Donald in this scenario. The problem is that people's lives didn't improve in a material way following the 2020 election (and in fact grew significantly worse), which unfortunately laid the groundwork for a second Donald presidency.
