If you just wanna compare playoff matchups, I think you have to consider their previous matchups too. Duncan was far better in 99' and 03', for example. Kobe was better in 01' and 08'. 02' and 04' are a bit more debatable.

99 was first season Kobe became a starter so was too young then. he averaged 32 and was the Lakers best player in 03

sure and that's why I used 08 so people couldn't downplay Kobe's success against Duncan by pointing to Shaq
