EQ'ing that bass in is effortless. Got a 4.4mm cable for them with a nice braid.
I do gaming with them and it just feels so freaking wide.

Comparing a xbox controller to a dongle seems kinda odd though. I have not seen any testing done on its amp or dac capabilities, but I can almost bet on that they didn't bother to include a decent dac in them compared to even the shittiest phone dongles haha.
I wasn't comparing them to a dongle. I use it for kicks to see how much a source matters for headphones. Not the best testing method though.
