Excluding Canada which basically has the same development system as America, why is the rest of the world not producing any good guards? All the good international players are 6'8+. Luka, Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, Siakam, Sabonis, Markannen, Porzingis, Sengun, Gobert etc. Meanwhile who is the best small international player? Dennis Schroder? Kind of an interesting discrepancy

One of the old sayings is that America is better at developing guards and Europe is better at developing bigs.

AAU is heavily focused on flashy guard skills and a lot of big mens development suffer ala James Wiseman. Euro leagues develop more fundamentals so you get more traditional big men skills there.
