A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

Hey all!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post my question, so just say the word if you want me to post it elsewhere. I'm doing photos of kids with Santa for my town. It's a free event where kids can meet Santa and I am there to snap a quick photo of it. In the past, I would e-mail out the photos to the participants using a Yahoo address specifically for this purpose.

Last year for the first time, Yahoo shut down my e-mail and a bunch of photos never went through. I have no idea why - I can only guess someone flagged me as spam? As a result, I'm nervous to try e-mailing again. Is there a better way to go about distributing the shots? I usually shoot about 100 families. Most people only get one photo but sometimes I wind up sending two if I think they're both good. I thought about creating an online album the participants could download directly from but I was concerned with privacy issues. Plus then everyone will be able to see who did or didn't get more than one photo. And if there's one thing I've learned from this, people love to bitch about their FREE photo!

I'd welcome any thoughts and suggestions you have on how best to manage the photo distribution!

Thanks!!!

Any cloud service. I personally use Google Drive for large albums and just a WeTransfer if I have to quickly share some shots.
