I was shocked watching the game how well he held up against Joker in the limited amount of posessions he got. The Wemby at the 5 stretches looked a lot more coherent on offense too. I'm sure Joker would have killed him if they played that matchup all game (And did get him a few times not shown in the clips). But that was super promising for the future.

Victor did FAR better than Chet did, to say the least. Jokic wasnt particularly BOTHERED by him, Victor had good possessions, but Jokic absolutely didnt even feel Chet. Not even a little.
Jokic feasted when up against Collins or worse Bassey.
Yeah, one clip was even cut where Jokic catches the rebound and immediately scores ahaah
Its such bullshit cutting lol , Jokic easy scored on Wemby several times. And ye he got back rebound and scored on him that possession too

It's almost as if the video is highlighting Victor's defensive plays against Jokic, not just showing every matchup they had.
The video is about the times he got good defense against Jokic. Is not a whole video about the game.
Is a 19 years old skinny guy going against the two times MVP, of course Jokic is gonna get his points. Don’t gotta get so defensive about it.
Even in the future where Wemby is a more polished product, I don't think he's going to get the primary assignment on Jokic very often. Relatively skinny shot blockers are much more effective against Jokic when they can play help and avoid getting bodied by Jokic. Wemby will probably primarily guard Gordon when he's in.

well it is just showing he did some good defense, not perfect, but the dude is 19, show promise, sure he was ultimately cooked as the others, but had some good defense

Joker is obviously going to cook lesser guys, but damn... 2 years from now, Wemby might be at a place where he's pushing Joker to a Game 6 or 7.
