In the expulsion of russian maintainers thread there are multiple people who are insulting russians as a whole. Isn't insulting people for their nationality against lemmy.world CoC? Is it allowed to insult egyptians or vietnamese people in a similar way?

It’s sad that this is not obvious, but many people born in Russia do not support Putin’s actions.

The person you are replying to did not imply that all Russians support Putin.

The OP was concerned about hate toward Russians, and the comment I replied to said that the hate is justified, implying that the target of the hate (all Russians) is doing something to warrant the hate (supporting Putin).

This thread refers to another in which same users went as far as trying to provide scientific evidence that all russians are bad.
