Thing is though, headline means nothing; I used to run a landscaping business and work in retail back in college, so I’d probably fit that description too. All it means is the guy knows how to actually work.
Although at 22, there isn’t really enough passage of time for useful management experience.

Guarantee you that you're giving them too much credit by assuming they're trying to prevent terrorism. They need someone with the ability and capacity to make sure the militias get the assistance they need.

That is his entire resume though. It's not a "back in college" thing when you are fresh out of college.
Yeah, the focus the landscaping part is weird. It seems more relevant to me that 5 years ago, he was in high school, rather than that he did landscaping.

Yeah, the headline means plenty... It means that he's breathtakingly unqualified to hold the position he's been given, just like you would have been as well. Though it sounds like you might actually have the sense to recognize that and (hopefully) wouldn't have taken such a position, thereby endangering the population at large.
