Believing your legacy is set is an essential part of any good tank commander’s mindset. He’s ready.

He is already calling it a career. Washington is so screwed lol

If I were a player at Poole's level, I would probably see things the exact same way. Not every player is going to be a "top guy" kind of player, and to have been a meaningful contributor on a championship team (even if you're 3rd or 4th fiddle) while get paid would seem like a successful career to me.

You would be saying your legacy is set before you hit 25? I'm not saying he shouldn't be thrilled with how his life has turned out, but this just seems like preemptive excuse making

It’s more like being realistic. Yeah of course he’s gonna want to win and play well, but he’s aware that unless some wild opportunity shows up he’s basically gonna cap out at Michael Redd with a ring.

His legacy is cemented. He’s gonna forever be punching bag. His ring will be as lauded and respected as KDs. Anytime he mentions it folks will laugh a little bit to themselves before thinking: “Yep that’s good Jordan, you did help Steph get another one! Good job!”

This type of attitude might be why no one stood behind him.

Grizzlies fans still salty that he cooked your ass on the way to that ring 💀

Yeah the context and tone is very important here but if you just read his quote it sounds like he is ready to play out his contract and retire. Shit or walk now.

Good for the dude but damn it is disheartening to hear that. I really hope there is a great context to this quote that frams it differently. Zero hate on Jordan though dude won and got payed.

This guy is one of the most delusional players I have seen when it comes to talking about their own value/skills.

Porzingis is going to complains bout his shot attempts within 20 games of the season. With J Poole and Kuzma… no way that dude will be satisfied with his role
