The Heat are a much better fit for him. Jimmy and Bam cover for him defensively, and Jimmy can be the primary ball handler. It allows Donovan to guard the 1 while still playing the 2 on offense. People have long wanted to pair him with a tall point guard, and Jimmy is a point forward so that’s even better for him.
