as a Bucks fan I would like to offer pre-emptive condolences to Cavs fans and also Mavs fans. NBA media vultures are now circling Luka and Donovan like the slimy little scavengers they are
I'm already tired of the projected trades of Mitchell to the Knicks. We didn't trade for him last year, beat him in the playoffs, why would we want a micro sized two guard lineup?

Rumor is the sixers are trying to get him as well and I feel the same way about a Mitchell/Maxey backcourt. Defense would be so bad
Agree. Mitchell is for sure better than Brunson, but not by miles, and they kind of occupy the same space.
For the Knicks maybe you just grab the asset and figure it out later, but agree the fit is suspect.
If Donovan came to NY I'd honestly want RJ to move to the 6th man and have Hart start at the 3 since he's a better defender and could help out Brunson and Donovan better, Grimes is too small to start at the 3 full time imo

This happens every time a star is in a small market. We saw the media tried to do it to Giannis as well although he did light flames himself a bit. This happens more in the NBA than in other major sports and it's pretty sickening to witness.
Mitchell absolutely wants to play for a big market team. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I think he’ll stay in Cleveland if the money is right.
You know, I keep hearing New York, but Miami would be pretty great fit actually.

I swear media members hate it when stars play for smaller market teams. It really makes me hate paying attention to this sport sometimes when media members act like only 4-5 markets matter.

remember when Rusillo said booker wanting out of phoenix was the worst kept secret in the NBA despite booker constantly saying he wants to be a lifer and that he was totally committed to the franchise, the city of phoenix, and AZ as a whole. that was November 2020. Nailed that one lol

it's not a secret. donovan is in the same situation he wanted out of, small market with no real shot to win.
