A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

I’ve got a 2016 MacBook Pro that I barely use as I’m pretty much do everything on my iPad now, it feels like it’s wasted on me. I’m looking to sell and get a basic laptop just for backing up files to drives and online. Does anyone have any recommendations or kit to avoid?

Brands like Acer, ASUS, and Lenovo offer affordable options. Look for at least 4GB of RAM and a sufficient amount of storage.
