Does Canada have a road paint shortage? How is that a crosswalk? It's barely 2 thin lines! Paint the damn thing so it is clearly visible. I would be scared trying to cross one of those.
EDIT: For the people without reading comprehension: I'm not justifying the dude in any way. Just commenting on the awful crossing marks.
They all look more or less like that and there are signs alerting drivers to their presence. They are unmistakable. This guy is a douche.
Not an excuse: the lines are clearly visible even if zebra markings would be better. More importantly, while I don’t know Canadian laws, usually pedestrians have the right of way regardless. You can’t just use the excuse that you were going too fast to stop, you can’t be angry at them because you hit them, and you can’t just take off.
