A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

People don’t care for quality anymore. I just had a job interview for a marketing position for a car dealership. I told them my skills in photography, videography, editing and how I can bring those skills for social media. They didn’t care one bit because they were just looking for someone to take pictures of the staff and people and run their social media. They didn’t even care if I used my phone. They think their car photos are enough. I just laughed and I left. Oh did I mention the pay was only 18 dollars an hour. I understand phones are getting better but photography takes a good eye and knowing how to work a camera or phone for that matter. I’m currently thinking of changing careers because it’s only going to get worse.

You don't need photography skills for "good enough" and not everything needs to be better than that, this included.

If you want photos to stand out yes you do.
