You don't need photography skills for "good enough" and not everything needs to be better than that, this included.
Photography
A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.
This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.
If you want photos to stand out yes you do.
I take pictures of cars at dealerships for a living and $18-$23 an hour is the standard around here (sf bay area). There's really no reason for a dealership to spend high dollar to have their inventory photographed by a professional with high end equipment honestly. If you know what you're doing (lighting, composition, etc), you can produce "good enough" quality photos with a smartphone. At the end of the day, the purpose of the inventory photos is to show the customer that the car is on the lot and ready to go...not to be artistic. I wish things were different because I'd be making a lot more money but that's just how this niche is.
