I think we’ve had a lead in 8 out of our 9 games with under 4 minutes to play this season.
We’re 4-5.
The Chargers have assumed the role of the Same Old Lions.
The chargers defense has been killing yall this year you guys should be like 6-3
bolt up! (your eyes)
it's alright buddy, our teams will figure out how to finish games at some point
I feel like this is on brand for the Chargers. You're usually a good team that's horribly mismanaged.
We wouldn’t be the Chargers without Chargering
It’s wild how no matter how much of a shitshow our team is we almost always somehow end up slightly better than the Chargers. I always expect us to be like 5-12 while they’re 12-5 but here we are.
And, the Vikings totally Chargered their game versus the Chargers, which was interesting to see another team Chargering against the Chargers.
We are 15 points away from being 8-1.
How has Kellen Moore been for you guys? Serious non-trolling question. Just wondering if he got a hot start then cooled down.
that's just chargering
I think the Chargers are the most talented team overall in the AFC, but your coach is an idiot
That’s…wild
I feel like the Eagles keep teams in games a lot. I can't even imagine being a Chargers fan
So the upcoming game against the Ravens is going to be "who throws the 4th harder"?
So just a normal Charger season then?
Even when Rivers was playing they were RedZone challenged.
Reigning, defending, undisputed offseason Champs for what, 10 years running?
Until you guys KO'd them taking the title and are running with it (so far)
Most of these stereotypes of teams are really only true for a few years and then the narrative will change, but the Chargers have been playing this way for decades. Truly is a spectacle.
I spent twenty years rooting for the Dolts in San Diego and it was always the same story. My personal favorite was when they had the number 1 offense and defense and still missed the playoffs. Now L.A. fans get to deal with that bullshit and probably will deal with it while that goon Spanos owns the team.
Best team of the 2000s to not win dick.
Okay, but be honest. Parts of your coaching staff belong at 4-5.
Also, were we the first team to not let you have the lead under 4 minutes (or at all)? Damn.
As a Lions fan I feel your pain. I get it. You’ll be ok, you guys have talent you just need the right staff to fully utilize it.
I saw a stat today that was win probability added by opponents dropping interceptions, dropping their own passes, missing field goals, and fumble recoveries (either team). By that combined the metric the chargers were the luckiest team in the league
The question is if it is bad luck or bad coaching.
I’m generally indifferent on the Chargers, but I am a Herbert fan and I’ve watched quite a few of his games since he’s come into the league. The dude should absolutely have been in the playoffs in every season of his career. The way the Chargers lose games is absolutely inexplicable. Staley is a disaster.
This sounds really familiar to the Phillip Rivers era...Good QB that just can't get a winning team around him
Yep. We almost always almost win.
Chargers are really better than their record but they are also really worst than their record.
