Dear Quincy, popsicles. Specifically the ones called "Italian ice".
Popsicles really are great for being sick with sore throat. They are full of salt and sugar to help get you hydrated and have electrolytes (salt). The coldness helps sooth inflammation.
I stock up on them every summer so I have some for winter cold season.
But they are in stores now. The Italian ice ones seem better because they are a consistent slushy. Whereas the other brands are solid ice.
They are also cheap. Less than $2 for a box.
Also last time I was sick my throat hurt so bad. I went to Dr and they told me to use Flonase. I was like. It's my throat. Not my nose that's in pain. But it's the drip from the nose that causes the throat to hurt. So I got Flonase. Followed the instructions. And my throat stopped hurting within a few hours.
Get some Flonase.
