Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

How come Rom is the goofy dragon?

He lead a successful labour revolt and became Grand Nagus. Plus he did so by accruing power as Zek suggested and issued the largest sociopolitical changes to Ferenginar in all modern Ferenghi history.

I know Quark also was also Nagus but that was only for a scheme.

ETA: Rom also single handedly held back the entire Dominion fleet, which was pivotal in the Dominion War.

He started goofy, but got a ton of character development. Then he became the Nagus and used those goofy vibes to hoodwink all corners. The Lower Decks episode with him was pure gold.

I really need to get around to watching Lower Decks, but I don’t correctly have Paramount.

You mean pure latinum, right?

Derpy dragon is secretly running the show. You gotta get with the deep lore, dude.

[–] wise_pancake@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 year ago

Moogy is definitely running the show

One of the most successful business people on Ferenginar all from the shadows, secretly ran the Alliance for years by influencing Zek, and then got her child into the ruling seat to champion reforms she wanted.

Well to be fair, he does look a little goofy.

... Don't tell him I said that.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Everybody underestimates Rom.

Odo is the updated version of that comic:

I think her golden moment was when she flew in between those stars because the invading aliens kept her awake for days and made her go full on old-school human crazy.

Don't really understand the Gowron one

[–] teft@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Yeah, it should be Worf going through the window.

[–] negativenull@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I didn't make this one. I presume it's because he likes to inject himself into the story often

I wanna see him with his fuzzy dog

I wonder if the mirror universe version of Dukat (and Winn, for that matter) is a super-cool stand up guy that you can totally trust to water your plants and feed your dog while you're on vacation.

[–] wise_pancake@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 year ago

I like to think they built statues of him on Bajor, but I mostly skipped the mirror universe episodes.

[–] CheeseNoodle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Isn't that just Garak? I mean he'll use the house sitting job as cover to assasinate two people and then randomly rescue a third on a random pang of sympathy but he will water your plants and feed your dog.
