  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Endorse Harris, Christie, or you're still carrying water for Trump.

[–] jonne@infosec.pub 26 points 1 month ago (2 children)

As if that would do any good. Democrats need to stop trotting out Republicans.

[–] BossDj@lemm.ee 19 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Republicans are quick to dismiss their own in a heartbeat if they turn on the fuhrer. Most of them don't give a shit about Christie anymore anyway

[–] Furball@sh.itjust.works 18 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Him endorsing Harris could convince a couple Pennsylvania voters near the New Jersey border, and in an election as close as this that would be major

[–] rayyy@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

Exactly. Chris Christie still has a lot of sway with his Republican base.

[–] RestrictedAccount@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Many Trump supporters do it because they are part of that herd.

They will follow the pack if momentum changes.

What is there to lose anyway?

What is there to lose anyway?

The votes of stupid people who think that if a monster endorses your candidate against a Kaiju, clearly the monster and your candidate have the same views.

[–] RestrictedAccount@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

So you are saying that there are a significant number of left leaning voters that are so stupid that they are both engaged enough to understand who Chris Christie is and do not understand that Donald Trump is out to destroy everything that they believe and hold dear.

I don’t buy it

To be fair, I listen to a lot of Republicans like Cassidy Hutchinson, Steve Schmidt , George Conway, Michael Cohen, Liz Cheney, John Kelly and The Bulwark because they are insiders who actually know what when on in the White House.

Trump rambling about Bidens "circles" today. What the Fuck is that even.

If I wanted to hear an old, stupid, racist cunt I would listen to my grandmother. It’s the same speech every time. Good riddance to their generation.

[–] Nuke_the_whales@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

If Trump loses he WILL run again in 2028. Even at 82. And I don't think we're lucky enough to have him drop dead by then

[–] WrenFeathers@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Oh I highly doubt that. If he loses, it’s open season on his criminal activity. And his list of criminal activities grows seemingly daily. He’ll be disqualified, or he’ll be in prison.

[–] morphballganon@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Let me introduce you to a little something called SCOTUS and its oligarch-bought majority

[–] WrenFeathers@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

lol…. Okay.

[–] mPony@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's so weird hearing Americans talk like they've never watched a movie in their entire lives.

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago
[–] Nuke_the_whales@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I think we've seen enough to prove he'll never go to prison or likely ever see serious consequences to anything

[–] WrenFeathers@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Again, that’s because he’s protected as a presidential candidate. If he loses- the gloves are off.

[–] morphballganon@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

If you were right, he would have been in prison in 2022.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Even worse, the republicans will turn on him.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org -4 points 1 month ago (2 children)

At 78, Trump is now the oldest presidential candidate in American history. If elected, he would be 82 years old when he leaves the White House.

I'm sorry, did Biden's campaign not happen? I mean, he was in the race four months ago.

[–] Nuke_the_whales@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

I don't think Biden was ever elected the official candidate but I could be wrong

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Biden was never an officially nominated candidate.
