If he's going to spread baseless rumors about people, then he should be scrutinized too. Maybe attention should be drawn to the fact that Ted Cruz is the Zodiac Killer. Or Ted Cruz was a notorious creep on campus. Or if we want a new one, how about... Ted Cruz likes jerking off to images of JD Vance fucking couches.

They are feminine. They are comforting, soft, and every home is incomplete without one.

Gender policing is about enforcing rigid, misogynist gender roles.

These girls don't even look especially masculine! This was a hit job.

A Cruz campaign spokesperson responded by saying the photo “features a female athlete who spoke out against boys playing in girls’ sports after participating in a track meet where a biological male beat female athletes and impacted individual and team medal results” but didn’t address the campaign labeling the young women as “trans”boys.”

They aren't even addressing the fact that the photo shows two girls, not one. So which one is this teenage girl who is such a horrible ally to trans people that you decided to demonize her in this ad and which is the one you just didn't bother cropping out?

Ted Cruz will endanger your children for political points. He will assign a label to them and point his posse at them. He is a dangerous man, and the parents of those girls ought to press charges. Cruz is not unaware of the hateful mob he's riled up in Texas, who would be eager to take action against any supposed trans children; this was an intentional effort to put the lives of Texan children in danger, full stop.

My wife works with a lady who has a prominent mustache. She is cis, she just has facial hair like some women do and she doesn't shave it off all the time because fuck that, she doesn't have to.

I can't imagine the shit she gets all the time.

Exactly. It's not enough to be Cisgender, you have to be feminine or masculine enough by obeying the gender roles assigned to you at birth.

It’s a witch hunt

EDIT: this comment was originally “literally a witch hunt” but I changed it because I was told it might be interpreted as saying trans people are witches which I obviously did not intend. This edit was not intended to make the user who accused me “look stupid” as they insinuate, but to improve the comment at their request.

Everyone knows what a witch hunt means. And almost everyone knows how to not feed the troll. It is insane that you succumbed to any idiot suggesting that "witch hunt" would demonize trans students. By the same coin, when Trump talked of his impeachment as "witch hunt", he did not come out as a witch, did he? This is preposterous.

I saw a meme the other day that really struck home for me. I don't remember the exact phrasing, but the gist was: "Nobody has ever killed a witch."

Witches don't exist. Witches are the thing you hunt for when you want someone to blame for all the things you think are wrong in the world. Because you can catch that witch. You can torture and kill it to make it pay for all the evils you think you've suffered. But witches don't exist, so you have to find a person. A person just outside of normal enough that you can convince someone else they're a witch. Once others are convinced they'll help you come up with all kinds of justifications for why the witch needs to be punished and killed. Everyone knows that witches are evil, and everyone loves a good witch hunt, because getting rid of witches means you're making the world a better place.

But witches don't exist.

Cancun cruz here just got so thoroughly destroyed by his opponent in last debate. He's still bleeding and desperately trying to do anything he can to change the narrative of him being a cowardly, broken loser. This is the "Mr. Potato Head is trans" distraction attempt...

These republicans 1000% have closed door conversations with each other where they speak the actual truth and say, quietly, "Can you imagine if we actually had to win elections on merit? We'd get so fucking obliterated!"
