Complex research and data gathering

Simple information is more and more difficult to find on the internet because of all the websites being filled with LLM garbage, so we'll soon need something very powerful to help us for that.

AI "fixing" the problem it created in the first place, that's a genius move

When these crappy "AI"s finally do displace my job, I will become a fireman, but in the Fahrenheit 451 sense, and it'll be servers instead of books.

Do not read if you like Ai. ... or read especially, if you like Ai?

They promise this with every generation. Reality is that Ai and LLMs require human input. If more and more Ai is used, less human input is generated -> less growth and improvements for Ai. This is the chicken or egg problem, but in reverse, kind of. They can't even count the R's in "strawberry" in example. Not sure if ChatGPT can do it now, but this was a problem not long ago.

I personally do not want an Ai that does stuff like booking a flight for me. It starts with booking a flight, let it buy food automatically, do these, do that... lose your control of your own life. Do not learn to program, let it program for you. In the end you become a slave of the Ai. I know this is futuristic imagination, but so is the future of Ai promised with these posts.

Most of this has already been a thing for a while. This is pure marketing fluff

[–] flashgnash@lemm.ee 3 points 8 hours ago

It's been a thing but it's not been a thing it's been many little bits that nobody's pulled together and marketed properly yet

No idea if this is the product to do thay but eventually someone's gonna do it

I would love if I could get a LLM to do my work. Fortunately/unfortunately it won't happen any time soon.

I thought with the rise of computers it would reduce the amount of work we would have to do. Haha

I'm curious how this might alter how we work 10-15 years from now.

The moment LLM can do your job for you is the moment that you lose your job to boost shareholder value

Oh, for sure. I'm curious if when we get to that point, we'll need some kind of universal basic income or something.

I'm sure people thought the same way when computers started to make some jobs useless. Yet, has capitalism been fixed since then?

Absolutely not, but let me dream lol
