So much room for activities!

[–] Steamymoomilk@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 hours ago

Its looks very nice, the skylight is pretty sick i bet!

[–] shiroininja@lemmy.world 7 points 9 hours ago

it's a very nice apartment though.

[–] i_dont_want_to@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 11 hours ago

Good for you and your opportunity to get a place at a good deal! Looks like a nice clean slate with the necessities.

Much wiser to start with a bed rather than a treadmill.
A bed holds more clothing.

Yeah, space is quite tight. This room serves as the bedroom + living room. The other 2 rooms are the kitchen/dining room & bathroom. Is “studio” the proper term for this setup?

[–] dogsnest@lemmy.world 10 points 15 hours ago

That's what I'd call it...

[–] Breezy@lemmy.world 24 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

So do you like share a bed with your dad?

Daddy in Romanian is “tati” (affectionate for dad) and that’s also how I happen to call him! lol

This is the rest of the apartment if you guys are wondering. The bare necessities.

[–] Syd@lemm.ee 7 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

What does this cost? That looks really workable.

Well thats cheap as hell nowadays, congrats. Especially in bucharest as i see from you replies.

[–] Syd@lemm.ee 6 points 11 hours ago

Congratulations indeed! Give it some time and that place will be a beautiful home.

[–] AlexisFR@jlai.lu 12 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Attic apartment it seems, I hope the summers will be kind on you!

[–] closealltabs@sh.itjust.works 6 points 13 hours ago

Indeed an attic apartment

Thank you!😊

Frank Reynolds and Charlie Kelly are moving up in the world. What's your dad's toe knife situation?

On a more serious note, that place looks pretty sweet.

sorta jelly. My wife and I have to much crap. Love that skylight.

[–] closealltabs@sh.itjust.works 7 points 14 hours ago (3 children)

Haha, it’s not really a design choice, it’s that my dad is kinda broke at the moment since he spent all of his savings buying this place (50k€). No more money for stuff…

[–] HubertManne@moist.catsweat.com 5 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

yeah and unfortunately this is how the junk accumulates. Ideally we would buy a high quality thing that can do many things but we end up buying cheap things because money is tight to get us by but then it can't do as much so you buy other things and it gets bad but is still functional so you replace but keep it around just in case. Hope things go well. I myself am unemployed atm and im nervously watching my savings tick down. sucks. can't wait for this time period to be a bad memory.

[–] closealltabs@sh.itjust.works 5 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah. I’m personally most excited to get a TV in here.

[–] HubertManne@moist.catsweat.com 1 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah it is nice to sit back with media on a large screen. I assume you have internet and wireless going then because that would definitely be first for me but thats like saying to make sure to have electricity nowadays. Laptop for sure but then again you are posting so presumably you have all that going.

[–] closealltabs@sh.itjust.works 1 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah, I have my phone and dad’s laptop. But it’s different to watch things on a TV vs laptop.

[–] HubertManne@moist.catsweat.com 1 points 13 hours ago

Valid, but my wife and I can't even share a pc (honestly this is more from her but frankly I don't think I could nowadays but part of it is neither of us likes smartphones so our main interface with things is laptop).

[–] spongebue@lemmy.world 3 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

May I ask which country you're in?

[–] closealltabs@sh.itjust.works 6 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Romania. The price of this place was a deal though. Bought directly from seller, no agency, no extra fees… it was luck to find something so cheap.

[–] spongebue@lemmy.world 1 points 14 hours ago

Very cool. I would love to check out that part of the world one day. Congrats on the find! I may be in a different financial situation in the US, but I still LOVE a good bargain driven by luck.

[–] JoMiran@lemmy.ml 1 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Small but beautiful. Hopefully you can get your own bed at some point.

[–] closealltabs@sh.itjust.works 3 points 13 hours ago

The real must is more pillows!!!

Looks like the upstairs of a house in The Long Dark.

[–] closealltabs@sh.itjust.works 6 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

“The long dark” is a pretty accurate way to describe Bucharest actually.

[–] a2part2@lemmy.zip 2 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Good price for Bucharest, no?

[–] closealltabs@sh.itjust.works 2 points 14 hours ago

Great price. This was a luck find.

[–] lolrightythen@lemmy.world 6 points 15 hours ago

I about to be the same way. Best of luck to you both!

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 2 points 14 hours ago

Try not to hit your heads on that low ceiling! The place is a really cool shape. Congrats!
