He's been an all-star and he's had a 2008-type of recession in terms of performance but it seems like he's on the right track, having confidence in his shot and plays more fearlessly than his blunder back in 2021.

Is it possible for Ben 10 to win MIP this year?

NBA doesn’t have a Comeback Player of the Year award

[–] penguin_torpedo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He could win it at the ESPYS, like Jamal did this year

[–] DoubleFan15@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Since we're talking about it, anybody got nominations for who WOULD have won some Comeback Player of the Year awards?

[–] orwll@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fun fact: It used to have one but they discontinued it because it kept getting awarded to guys coming back from drug rehab.

[–] Godfrey174@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ya Ben Simmons could win it if he develops any semblance of an outside shot. But we all know that ain't happening

[–] blanktheory@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

not unless he has an all pro year probably and brooklyn nets org started pushing for it.

[–] Fartiebartie@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No but he can regain his all nba and all star status

“Right track” bro put up like 2 points last night

Stop treating the dude like a make a wish kid

Umm yeah but what about the game prior when he had a block, a fastbreak dunk and a 10 foot jump shot.

Wait what do you mean he had 8 points on 4/8 and 8 turnovers in 30 minutes in that game?

Nets fans were posting shit like “Ben Simmons scores a layup or gets a block!!!!” and this sub was eating it up

if i could get .01% better odds than equivalent compared to current interest on t-notes i would bet my life savings that ben simmons is never again an all-star, all-nba, all-defense, or any other season award for the rest of his career.

Is this just like Zach Wilson where we pretend hes not trash just because we feel bad for him?

I don't think MIP should be given to players who came back to their oldselves, if that's the case Julius Randle should have 2 MIP already.

[–] ProfessionalCorgi250@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He scored two points yesterday

[–] Vast-Rise3498@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ya’ll still discussing Ben Simmons in 2023?

[–] MC-Jdf@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Improving to your former form isn't MIP worthy imo.

[–] Vast-Rise3498@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If he still can’t shoot, what’s he actually improved on?

[–] Shoddy-Media2337@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

[–] LoWE11053211@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

he can even win the ROY

[–] shaolinken123@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He could win another roty

[–] SadMix5355@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

From the bench?

[–] RVAIsTheGreatest@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Can he? Absolutely. Let's see how well the Nets do as a team because his chances will be tied to that.

[–] wolitiredu@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No, not even a joke. Always, for one reason or another, he ends up leaving his teams hanging. He needs dedication to be better.
