The whole cavs core
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
Yeah, seriously. Cavs are going to be making noise in the East for many years- I was going to mention Emoni Bates though or Isaiah Mobley.
Lot of ppl don’t know the Cavs are stockpiling some even younger talent to follow.
Maybe unpopular but ja, everyone hates him right now and for good reason but I think his basketball credibility took an unreasonable hit from everything. I think he can add a good 3 and be unstoppable offensively
His playstyle is what concerns me. Dude has to be more judicious about driving hard to the basket.
The problem is, more times than not, the 3 never develops as well as we wish it did for most players.
The entire OKC Thunder roster honestly lol
Hard to imagine SGA getting even better. Dudes a monster already
If he was a monster OKC would've made the playoffs lol
So great players make the playoffs 100% of the time? That’s the claim?
Great players carry mediocre teams to the playin at least.
They were in the playins though
Well, I'm a moron. Please disregard everything I said.
I think he's regular season production may not get that much higher but his game is going to translate very well to the playoffs. He might already be a better player than we think, he just hasn't got a chance to show it yet.
Marjon AKA K 2.0 AKA MJ
Apparently, Terence Mann, with the way the Clippers covet him.
Is he still considered a “young” player?
Yeah, the Clippers and the media seem to think so.
pretty sure the clippers know how old he is
pretty sure you missed my point
27 years young.
Anfernee Simons. He is one of the most gifted scores in the league and wants to shed the bad defensive habits he has been known for. Without Dame looking over him I think he could very much have a fantastic and all-star worthy season.
Who are some young players that have already reached their potential?
Wiseman is 22 and washed
I’d like to believe he has more to discover, but maybe Keldon Johnson.
Robert Williams III 😐
Shaedon sharpe and nassir little
Let's hope
Devin Vassell. Damn good and plenty more room to grow.
This guy will be reminding me of Darius Vassell for the next decade
Simons. Should have been the mip the year before but we decided to tank
Over Markkanen? I don't think so
A better question would be if anyone has already reached their peak
I kinda figure anyone under the age of ~23 has a bunch of low-hanging fruit associated with some of the improvements they're going to be able to make (if they're motivated)... It makes sense that it gets tougher for pros who've already spent a few years in the league after that... Coaching staffs start focusing developmental resources on other players who are on the steeper slopes of their learning curves, and usually the older guys have already identified their most glaring weaknesses and made at least a few attempts to correct them.
I suspect the 'second year leap' that lots of sports writers talk about is real, but I don't have any statistics to back that up.
One of the guys that I suspect is going to be making a leap this year (that will probably get him closer to his potential) is JDub... He's looked way more assertive and stronger in his preseason games for the Thunder.
Luka
Probably Cade Cunningham, unless he becomes a bust
Jalen Johnson is the 3rd best player on the Hawks and you’ll all know it soon
Sengun
Patrick Williams. Definitely. Not even close. Nowhere near as confident and assertive as he should be, but I also don't think he's the most fluid player and may not ever reach his potential because of that.
Trae Young
Tyler Herro, he’s set to break out this szn - mark my words
The tyrese maxey hype is insane
All of them?
The Portland Trailblazers.
A well coached Jalen Green
Luka
Jokic
SGA - If he becomes solid defensively and takes his playmaking up a notch he could be even more scary rn
