I personally would rather have Mikal on a team so I guess I’d say he’s better.
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
We haven’t seen enough of Mikal to make a fair judgement. JB right now.
Mikal has been in the league for 5 years at this point and is already 27? What do you mean lol
When Mikal got traded to Brooklyn he had a breakout season, that’s why this post was made.
Most will say Brown, but consider another question:
How many teams would rather have Mikal Bridges than Jaylen Brown?
I don’t think it’s an insignificant number, even only looking at this season and ignoring contract.
I would argue most of the existing contenders (Nuggets, Suns, Bucks etc) would rather have Mikal. With a lessened scoring load he can go back to being a DPOY contender and elite off ball player
Buddy Hield
Lol this sub is so dumb
That's what I'm saying
Honestly not crazy to ask. I think Jaylen is a tier above but as OP wrote there stats are fairly similar whole Mikal is a far better defeneder. But plenty of others here have said why Jaylen is better
It amazes me that people make whole posts to demonstrate their lack of knowledge.
Absolutely, it's clearly the guy who doesn't get outplayed by Caleb Martin.
Mikal
Jaylen and Jaylen
As the Kings I’d rather have Mikal because he’s a better POA and we don’t need Brown’s offensive floor nearly as much as other teams. But I think that it depends on your team. A team like the Celtics, they’d rather have Brown because he absorbs a lot of usage while still being somewhat efficient.
If you have an established team and need to put one extra piece around it, Mikal. Most of his career as a jack of all trades 3rd/4th option behind superstars.
If you are starting from scratch, JB. Established 2nd option for a very long time, all NBA.
Yo, fuck the Celtics but J Brown getting disrespected on another level lately. He’s a stud.
I love Mikal. But c'mon.
Jaylen is currently the better player, and hes younger.
The only argument Mikal has is that hes on a better contract.
I don't think people understand that he's younger because Mikal seems so fresh where JB has been in the ECF for like a decade straight
is price tag part of the consideration? if so, Mikal all the way, especially if you're already a contender (not named Celtics).
I was gonna say obviously JB since he's younger but I found out they're only 2 months apart? That seems fucked up.
Either way it's still Jaylen Brown. Now if Mikal can maintain the play he had in the 2nd half of last year, then we've got a conversation.
When players get drafted younger or older really messes with my head sometimes lol
My impression was that most people mistakenly think Bridges is younger, and that that misperception is what drives posts like this.
idk guys, how’s mikal’s left had?
I was gonna say. Gimme the guy with the non-exploitable left hand.
I'd rather have Mikal.
It’s close. Main thing is bridges has a much higher iq.
Dear Lord, Mikal Bridges is so overrated
Its JB and not even close atm.. He puts up 25+ beside a top 10 player, Mikal couldn't really do that. Putting up 26 on a tanking team vs a guy doing the same on a winning team,
Mikal did it more efficiently while being guarded by the other teams best guy
I think the better question is will Milan Bridges reach Jaylen Brown’s tier. JB has been playing at a borderline all-nba level for about 3 seasons now. Mika hasn’t done that.
Why has there been so many posts of ____ being better than Jaylen Brown recently
They hate JB, haters stay mad
I totally understand that player developments are never linear, but Jaylen Brown is younger than Mikal and is a 2x All Star and an All-NBA. The fuck we talking about here??
He's 55 days younger lmao stop it.
Today I learned Bridges is 27 and older than Brown
Brown is easily the answer but.
Neither player can be top guy on a championship team but in fairness to them there's only a handful of guys in the league that can be. And they need guys like brown and bridges with them
Did bridges just breakout or do even bad teams need a leading scorer? We will find out
Brown could score 22ppg in his sleep in transition, open looks and driving aggressive closeouts. But he wants to score 28ppg by dribbling like Kyrie and that's why his TO numbers are awful.
Are contracts involved? If yes, mikal. If not jb
I like these topics because it lets be block the braindead op so I don't have to see anything like this ever again
