Choosing egg prices as your campaign slogan during an H5 endemic was already a pretty bad move and then you topped it with tariffs lol
Sucks for Americans. I got a dozen extra extra large eggs in Canada for 5$ Canadian...
i don't have egg prices in my area. the grocery store simply removed the egg section
But let's be honest. 5$ for a dozen eggs is fucking nuts too. They were so much fucking cheaper not all that long ago

$5CAD is aboutt $3.50 USD. For jumbo eggs, i would call that aboit right. These are way larger than the "large" eggs most people are used to

Correct. But the eggs I bought were extra-extra-large. If I wanted to get just large or medium I would have paid around 4 or less.
I managed to find a dozen for $4.97 yesterday. It's the best I've been able to find in some time.

Meanwhile in Trudeau's socialist nightmare, where eggs are under ~~kolkhoz~~ supply management, I pay $5.25 USD... for 18 eggs.
I normally get extra large eggs, but I just got some extra extra large eggs for 5.25$ Canadian. A dozen.

The less eggs you can afford to buy increases the supply for the people who do not need to worry about the price of eggs.

It's because eggs are one of the more universal food items. Their price sort of shows how well the economy is doing so it's a nice gauge on that sort of thing.

We got chickens when facing an egg crisis here in NZ. Lovely little animals. It's been nice being able to look after and care for these creatures, knowing they are living the good life whilst consuming their eggs. Much more useful than my dumb dog.

Tofu scramble is pretty good. Firm or extra firm tofu block, slice and crumble into a bowl. 1 tbsp turmeric, 1 tbsp black pepper, 1 tbsp garlic powder, mix. Cook in a pan on medium stirring occasionally, will turn yellow as it heats up. Then add key ingredient black salt (kala namak, a salt with a strong sulfur flavor) to taste. Mix in with your pan fry mix of choice, I like onion/garlic/serrano/mushroom/smoked paprika/chili powder/spinach/tomato and green pepper/cilantro added at the end. Serve with fruit and toast.
Yeah, I am not vegan, but a tofu scramble is vastly preferable to scrambled eggs. So much tastier. Although on could argue you could add all those ingredients to scrambled eggs and it is pretty good too.
Don't forget a light dust of brewers yeast and a couple of shakes of tobacco or whatever your favorite vinegar based hot sauce is.
