Our shooting was poor tonight, Okogie, Yuta and Nurkic on the other hand were great for the Suns, GG guys, well played.

Steph 4-14 from 3 damn. In a 4 pt loss that doesn't look good.

I feel like it would be more efficient if he kept 3fga to below 10 and tried going for more midrange.

[–] FLICK_YOLI@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Super impressed by Okogi... Grayson Allen, not so much...

[–] Paula-Abdul-Jabbar@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Saric was godawful tonight. Seriously think they shoulda tried out Jackson-Davis at some points just to see what he could do. Also Paul looked great and holy shit the Warriors got killed by Okogie.

[–] CoachDT@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This was a pretty sloppy game from Phoenix and it was as clear as day that the Warriors were missing Dray offensively.

The Suns will be a lot better moving forward but man Durant and Curry both played like ass this game. I guess they are besties after all.

[–] rice_bledsoe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Can I say something controversial here?

I really don’t like how reckless Gary Payton Jr is. Hell of a defender, hell of a ticking time bomb. Ended under many suns jumpshots this game. Sent a lot of guys to the floor.

Turns out, it’s really easy to root against cp3

Suns should be okay if Beal is taking those 16 wide open shots instead of Gordon lol

[–] chaoism@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Josh Okogie, the new Naz Reid

[–] EveryShot@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Well I don’t feel completely awful tonight

[–] howluckyarewe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bradley Beal’s back hurts after carrying them through that game.

[–] gxaldo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Biggest takeaway of tonight is that the denver nuggets are levels above the rest of the west

[–] maalbi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Lack of highlights on this subreddit is concerning, wheres the booker to nurcic highlight

[–] Dascewlm8@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Warriors are old and tired, would be surprised if they finish the season over .500

[–] nerdyykidd@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

15 pts from Klay and 10 from Wiggins ain’t gonna cut it if the Warriors wanna make some noise again imo. Steph’s too old to do it on his own anymore.

You need firepower to compete in the West. It’s an arms race… Warriors needed rocket launchers and, tonight at least, they had pea shooters lol

#2^nd-3^rd options on offense:

Jamal Murray & MPJ combined for 33 pts

KD & Nurkic combined for 32 pts

Klay & Wiggins combined for 25 pts

Theres a 7 point difference between Nuggets & Suns #2-3 & Warriors #2-3. Warriors lost by 4. There’s the difference right there.

[–] lieutenantdan6@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

As a previous Chris Paul hater, I like what I saw from his play making and keeping the offense under control while Curry was on the bench in 3rd. Wont expect 34 min every night but solid 25-30min and staggering 2 guard lineup as much as possible would benefit defense/ rebounding.

[–] Disabled_Robot@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Can we take a second and acknowledge just how awful those postgame questions were?

Chuck nailing the nurkic pronunciation. It’s different every time, love it.

[–] mysterioso7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

GP2 a plus-minus god as usual

[–] pallum@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Dude smoking and vaping behind Kenny lol

[–] ProactiveJ@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nurkic brings a different element to this team, his passing IQ, hard screen setting and 3pt ability is gonna benefit the suns offense better.

All Ayton wanted to do was catch it off a pick and shoot a mid range 🚮

[–] Flabbypuff@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Great games from Nurk and Okogie. Warriors have some pesky perimeter defenders, but that backline rotation misses Draymond a LOT

[–] SuckaFreeRIP@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Not what you want to see from EG, Allen, and KD. Not sure how the Suns won. Can’t wait to watch the playback on leaguepass since I missed the game celebrating the DBacks going to the World Series. GG warriors

[–] mido0o0o@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What is defense?

[–] Jra805@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ugly dogfight of a game. Only gonna get spicier in the West…

[–] RVAIsTheGreatest@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Both the Suns and Warriors have a lot of positives to take from this one. Suns are gonna win a whole lot of games...their role players are gonna thrive playing off their stars and Beal is gonna be the second playmaker/ballhandler this team really lacked today and it was a glaring absence. Booker/KD (and Beal) gravity elevates their teammates. Booker's become a solid playmaker and Nurk is great in the PnR.

Nurk and Okogie size, physicality, and Okogie's energy, was way too much for the Warriors to deal with. The backups were able to push back but not the starters. Starting lineup too small and didn't match the intensity Okogie and Nurk were bringing to the table. Gordon had multiple strong defensive possessions late and made a few threes...he's gonna look a lot better when he's playing off the ball as we saw at the end with Book on the ball, than he did most of the game as the lead ballhandler.

Warriors biggest question mark going forward beyond their lack of size is whether they can find that true second option to Steph offensively. I love how aggressive as a scorer CP3 was today....can he survive that way, playing huge minutes, still pretty ball dominant. I enjoy how he was pushing the ball up the floor today more than we have seen of him the last year.

Warriors schedule is extremely difficult ahead and if Draymond can't return they are looking at probably being in a hole record wise unless they can turn around their road woes.

Nurkic haters in shambles

[–] holaprobando123@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

KD with the cool 32% from the field

[–] InCobbWeTrust@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think Chris Paul and the Warriors watched Chuck tell them their cooked. Way to piss them of Chuck. Damn.

[–] _Jetto_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If actually healthy. Nurkic is better than ayton overall fuck it I said it. He’s more active and brings understanding of role and skill

[–] Brooklyn_Net7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Two r***** fighting

[–] poros1ty@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just happy to not have to watch Ayton anymore.

[–] CountTwoTenAgain@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Lakers v Warriors playin game gonna be lit 🔥

[–] fightnight14@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The Suns got great role players

[–] ILurkAtNight@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Still weird as hell to see CP3 in a Warriors jersey

[–] silverfang45@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Know they lost and he didn't shoot amazingly but was dunking seeing Dario have a good game again.

Dude was everywhere on defence and keeping the offence flowing making the extra passes.

Still a shame he hasn't been as good since covid but the warriors are the perfect team for a small ball center like dario

[–] Loud-Influence-1213@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Who's happy that GSW sucked tonight??? Me: 🙋‍♀️

Watching Grayson brick shots triggered me as a bucks fan

[–] saitama710@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wiggins needs a haircut or something to shake off his cobwebs

[–] abortedfetu5@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Did Andrew Wiggins think he was on the Wolves again? That was his performance as a Warrior.

[–] iCE_P0W3R@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Really liked what I saw from Okogie, but damn Durant was out there chuckin’ bricks

[–] LothCatPerson@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Anyone know why that person was escorted out? I tuned in after whatever happened. Was someone hurt?

[–] Least_Inspector_450@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Moody was on fire. Don’t understand why Kerr only played him 18 mins

[–] CupertinoCA@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’ve had a rough weekend plus beginning of week sports teams losing. I’m Pakistani. We lost to Afghanistan over the weekend in the World Cup of cricket(first time they beat us in 50 over match). 49ers lose to Vikings last night. Dubs lose tonight.

[–] ValhallaKombi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

3-11 and 4-14.. Basketball is plain ugly sometimes

[–] jgroove_LA@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Having the ball in Paul's hands really helped with the overall turnovers for the Warriors. 11 is historically low for this group.
