Good afternoon yall,

I am finally in the market for a new watch, in the price range of $1-2k. I’ll preface real quick, I like Tag’s, but probably not enough to buy one, I like Omegas, but they are a little too expensive for me, and I have a seiko, but ideally looking to get something else. All in all I am looking for a daily wear watch, I am a fan of stainless steel bands and black or white dials, but am open to any suggestions! Would appreciate yalls advice!

Cheers.

Also will add i am a big fan of Tudors, but again not sure that any are in my price range.

I just bought a used BB58 for 2k... But my first was a Longines Hydroconquest which was also be worth looking at

Lmao you haven't said a single thing that narrows it down.

$1-2K is fine if your expectations are ETA luxury or used. Plenty of great options.

I'd lean more dress for your first watch purchase but everyone wears divers with suits anyways these days.

If you really like omega, you could go for a super cool vintage seamaster/geneve/constellation

That’s a good shout. You can get a decent quality Brosnan era Seamaster 300m well under £2k. A classic, and will survive the impact of karate chopping stuntmen.

Sinn or CW is the answer

I’m partial to the Oris Aquis Sellita variant at that price range. I think you get luxury finishing at a fraction of the price.

The new Seiko Alpinist special edition. 1300 and an instant classic that goes anywhere for any occassion.

In that range for new watches I’d go Christopher Ward, Sinn, Nomos, or maybe Zodiac. CW is my favorite by far at the price point, really excellent and well designed watches. Rado might also have some pieces in that range though I think their Captain Cooks might be more like $3-4k. If you explore pre-owned pieces it will expand the brand set quite a bit.

I would check out Longines. Very old and respected Swiss watch brand in your price range
