3 days at 12 hours a day and a fast turnaround, right? Depending on the company I’d start around $1200 for the day.
Photography
A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.
This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.
Business events are the only type of photography where I use an hourly rate. I charge a minimum amount just to show up and provide an initial amount of coverage, then charge by the hour after that initial time has elapsed. If the event takes a full day, then I switch to a day rate. If the event spans multiple days, I still use the day rate but might apply a slight price reduction depending on my sense for what their budget can tolerate. I only do minimal amounts of post production for business events and do not charge extra for it.
I do a lot of corporate stuff and I charge based on the project. If it’s just photography, that’s showing up, event capture, editing, and delivery. I start off with my base (and that changes from company to company). If Apple hired me, I’d charge more compared to if a 3 person company is doing a meetup.
I also like to know how they are using the materials. Are they going to use it for commercial use or marketing to drive in more business? I’ll consider that too. Of course the increased price will be justified by renting better equipment or hiring help to get exactly what they need.
In all, it varies company to company. I ask what’s their budget and work from there
