Seriously. Wemby is already better than Bol Bol has ever been. A casual could see that they weren’t even close to the same league of prospect. For one, nobody for a second thought Bol Bol had any defensive ability.

Shaqs just upset Wemby isn't posting people up for 48 minutes a game while Pop is trying to get all the young talent on his team to develop. Thank god they don't have a rookie head coach and they won't be affected by the stupid media voices.

I don't see it. Bol doesn't even look nearly as comfortable on offense or defense on his best day. I guess in a way he does similar things but so do a lot of big guys, it's the fluidity in which he does it, it all looks natural and is impactful where as bol is the opposite
Bol Bol looks smoother with the handle and speed when going coast to coast. Looks more comfortable doing that than Wemby has so far. Obviously I realize this is just one tiny detail about his game and doesn’t really matter too much. Just wanted to say I think Bol looks comfortable in certain situations
What I take from this is that Manute must be the nicest man ever for old heads to still be talking up his son this way.

Offensively, Shaq isn’t wrong.
Wemby hasn’t showed us anything Bol Bol hasn’t offensively. Highlights look good, but consistency is what actually matters. He currently has as many turnovers as field goals this season.
Defensively wemby is in another universe. In my opinion, that is where he has clear generational potential.

Manute Bol (Bol Bol’s dad?) was a decent three point shooter for a guy who was 7’7.

This is Shaq being insecure about his position in the all-time NBA ranking of dominant big men. Whenever a new big star shows up, his rank could drop another notch, so he does everything in his power to talk shit and manipulate public opinion. It just shows how small and petty he is. The new players and the viewers don't deserve to be subjected to the desperate and jealous ramblings of that unhappy oaf.
What's with professionals in the media and not being able to say Wembanyama? It's 4 syllables and is pronounced exactly the way it's spelled. Surely it ain't that hard.
But Bol Bol never put the effort into taking care of his lower body in terms of mobility and flexibility training that Wemby has. Wemby can almost do the splits..this guy 7 foot 4. If he can keep his back and lowe body healthy, it's gonna be different.
