McDaniels has a 20-33 record as head coach in the NFL and has never held a head coaching position longer than 2 years.

FUCK THAT BITCH ASS SNAKE!

[–] hero-ball@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Imagine being mad that Josh McDaniels didn’t come ruin your team lmao

[–] Florida__Man__@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They’re allowed to not like a guy for … publicly embarrassing the franchise

He’s also pushed out two franchise QB’s while also never lasting 2 seasons.

[–] WDMChuff@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Tbf Jay Cutler and Carr are both franchise QBs who also aren't good enough to take a team to the next level.

I mean, they were miles ahead of who they got replaced by (Cutler > Orton, Carr > Stidham/Garropolo).

Why not try to scheme for them instead of throwing them away? Look at Daniel Jones once Daboll came, Jared Goff once Sean McVay arrived, Alex Smith once Harbaugh/Andy Reid got a hold of them.

[–] Rod_FC@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The issue was what he replaced those guys with. It's perfectly fine to believe Jay Cutler and Derek Carr aren't the QBs to take your team where you want to go.

Another McDaniels Masterpiece

[–] Disastrous-Fun-834@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

McDaniels McMasterpiece

[–] Greek_Trojan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

McDaniels (and potentially Reich) are setting back second stint coaches a decade this year.

[–] pooped_good@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Josh McDaniel’s is not very good at head coaching.

[–] dandrade1990@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Still can’t believe Bissacia got jipped in favor of this imbecile.

[–] probablyasummons@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I never understand when teams bring in Intrim coaches and they do really well and don’t give them a chance. The Browns were on fire under Greg Williams and Freddy as DC. But they dump Greg for Freddy and that was terrible

[–] coolon23@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (5 children)

Gotta be one of the worst coaching stints in NFL history right?

[–] paultheschmoop@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

By record? Not even close. In context it’s a bit worse though

[–] notmyplantaccount@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He's going to get 6 years of HC salary for 1.5 years of "work". This was a masterclass.

[–] MrGoodOpinionHaver@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Not even close

[–] blitzkreigbop9@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Honestly probably not even too 10

[–] Kazukaphur@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Maybe we need to start comparing his two coaching stints. Which was worse, his Broncos or Raiders Tenure. Maybe I'm biased, but considering he ruined a potential young superstar pairing QB/Wr pair I'm going to say his Broncos tenure was worse.

[–] Toxicyoshi7@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Didn’t like him when he got here, hate his guts after he left

[–] NBT498@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It’s the one thing Bronco and Raider fans can agree on, hating Josh McDaniels.

meanwhile

matt eberflus is still employed at 5-20

[–] lkooy87@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Our owners care a lot less about the team/fans

[–] Babahaji1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

And they're still trying to figure out if Justin Fields is a starting QB

[–] Thunderhamz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It seriously felt like we were 0-8 this year

hey two of those wins were vs belichick so he'll always have that

Let’s hope this puts a nail in his HC career. I would wish him to the Chiefs even. His concepts and schemes are some of the worst football I’ve ever watched. I’m surprised the league didn’t find emails from him and force him out of the league. Glorious day Nation. ☠️🏈💪

I never want to hear anything about “The Patriot Way” ever again. It’s all horseshit

[–] killmeverymuchthanjs@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The Patriot Way is easy to commit to when you have Tom fucking Brady as your team’s QB. Guaranteed playoff run minimum, makes it easier to “commit” to a dogma. Especially when he’s taking a salary cut (TB12 loophole), so that other guys will get paid more while being on a great team at the same time.

Tom Brady was essential to building and maintaining that culture of The Patriot Way imo.

[–] hendrix320@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They never paid other players more. Pats are almost always in the middle to lower part of the league in spending

[–] iscott55@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You’re getting downvoted but you’re right, they were 26th in total spending during the Brady years. Never take a pay cut to help your boss

[–] cjgozdor@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You just sent me into PTSD.

[–] taser____face@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Neither do we buddy lmao The “Brady covers up all our holes” way is much more apt

[–] marcusdj813@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I guess he came here to Tampa Bay due to not having as much to cover up at the time.

[–] PM_ME_YOUR__MOMS@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

When will owners and GMs understand recycled coaches just will not work. Why hire a fired guy for being bad and expecting a different outcome?

[–] Daspaintrain@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Wonder who the next idiot franchise to hire him will be

[–] TsarOfSaturn@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Good fucking riddance. That was the most boring and bland football I've seen in a long time (and I've seen tons of shit Raider teams).

And now we don't have to see his douchy, punchable face everytime Jimmy G air mails a pass in to the fucking benches.

And speaking of Jimmy G, if he can't get anything going by the end of the 1st quarter, he can join McDaniels in fucking off.

I don't have high hopes for AOC, but let's see what the kid can do, with practice reps with the first team

[–] SDEexorect@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

wtf raiders you beat us to the firing season?!

[–] hendrix320@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The Raiders are going to be spending a lot of money on 2 coaches who don’t work there anymore

[–] msto3@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You're welcome Raiders fans.

To quote one of my favorites, Hunter x Hunter: you can smile again

[–] team_sheikie@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Matt LaFleur got outcoached by this dude 3 games ago.

Surely, this will be his last head coaching gig in the NFL...until his next one.

[–] spanishdictlover@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Proving once again, McDaniels is nothing without Brady just like Bill Belichick.

[–] Piss_Pirate44@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Mark Davis a coward for how he let McDaniels do Carr

[–] bukithd@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If only there was clear evidence going in that he wasn't a good head coach.

[–] catzarrjerkz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I think they should hire Matt Canada to replace him

[–] Trillzionaire90@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

As a Denver fan it's bittersweet to see McDumbass go so early. I was hoping they would get a few more seasons out of the Belicheat protégé.
