It's easy to blame her, but, buuuut, it's not as if she had anyway to know that tRUMP was incompetent, abusive, untruthful, and racist.

Ok, fine, yeah he was like that in his first term as 'president'.
And, yeah, there was all that incompetence, abuse, lies, and loads of racism...oh so much racism...in the 5 or so decades before his 'presidency' (info that was/is easily found by a quick search on the internet) but is it really her fault that she willfully ignored the fat orange cunt? Is it?

If you read the article you will notice that 46% of latinos voted trump. Also the article doesn't say only she voted for the orange pestilence.

People suffer and the worst for me is the people like her then going on social media seeking mental support for the clusterfuck she helped create. I feel sad for every member of the family who didn't vote for trump.

Anyone who actively voted trump in my eyes is directly responsible for so much suffering and more is to come. So no, no sympathy for trump voters because anyone could easily evaluate trump before they voted and he did nothing to hide what a asshole he is.

Since when can non-citizens vote in US presidential elections? She became citizen at some point, got the right to vote, then voted to get her non-citizen family deported.

Nothing in the article indicates that the family members facing deportation are American citizens.

So based on available facts: She voted to get her family deported. She's part of the stupid 46%.

Nobody is saying it's okay. The argument clearly being made here is that you can't have any sympathy for someone who gets exactly what they signed up for. Its not, "she voted for agent orange, so now I'm okay with unjust deportation." Being against ripping already marginalized and struggling families apart and not having sympathy for those who helped put in motion the very nightmare situation that their family is now now in are not a one or the other view to have.

No sympathy for those reaping what they sowed doesn't mean no sympathy for those deserving of it, ie. those in her family who did not vote for Trump who are now suffering because of a situation she helped cause.

Banned. Seems a bit much. Maybe I'm lacking context, I dunno. I'll just say I think it's fair to point out whenever there is collateral damage deserving of consideration, and I didn't feel insulted or anything by their post that is now removed.

If anything it's just motivation to do some introspection. We should take care that our inclination to react to news like this with righteous vengeance doesn't overshadow our empathy for and solidarity with other people that's at the core of why idiots and assholes voting a fascist rapist into power makes us feel this emotionally invested.

And what promises were those, exactly? What Trump promised latinos was to deport all the other latinos they don't like.

That's Trump's magic. He tells one group of people and says "I hate the same people you hate." Then he goes to another group of people and says the same thing. Eventually he's convinced everybody he hates everybody, but not themselves.
