If u can choose between giannid or Jokic to play with curry on this year or the 2022 team. I really like both of them with Steph, giannis because he’s dominant inside and is great on defense but Jokic and curry would be 2 of the greatest offensive players ever and I think they would be a better duo than Shaq and Kobe and could potentially threepeat. I think either of these players with Steph would win multiple rings but idk who would be better. What do you guys think?

Man the dhos instead of Murray it's now curry will be impossible to guard

[–] Puchaks_101@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jokic.. you can utilize Curry's offball movement. With Giannis, Curry will be more of a spot up/catch and shoot player

[–] Randvek@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Jokic. Curry already runs in a system where a big guy is actually the primary ball handler over a guard, so it would probably be a pretty seamless fit.

Both Curry and Jokic are huge upgrades over their respective partners.

[–] victormeal@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

If Draymond works with curry, Jokic would be that with better size and shooting.

Jokic. Then add 3 of the best screeners in the game so that Curry can jog around catching passes for open shots.

The league would have to step in to stop Curry and Jokic. That’s too Op

[–] FatCatWithAHat1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What about Jokic and Luka?

[–] LongStickCaniac@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Well considering Jokic might go on a 3 peat without Steph I’d say him. Those two together would legitimately break basketball

[–] tixace4089@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

i think jokic bc curry is such a great off-ball player, and jokic is obv a great playmaker.

[–] Green_Space729@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jokic without question.

Look at his dynamic with Green no me imagine that with significantly better passing and scoring.

[–] costcobathroom@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

giannis because joker doesn't play defense

[–] HS941317@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jokic because he’s much better than Giannis lol

[–] TruthSayerFu@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Imagine joker passing to curry running around screens lol

[–] sandicheeks82@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The best scenario would be Steph playing with Jokic with the Nuggets

Of course it's the combination of two top 5 offensive weapons the basketball has ever seen.

Individual defense has gotten so incredible overrated it's becoming a meme at the point

[–] JV_27_@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Leaning jokic and curry. But also depends on the team around them. If the other 3 are Zach lavine, cam Thomas and Christian wood then probably giannis. If instead they're Ausar Thompson, Lu Dort and Walker Kessler then probably Jokic.

Jokic throwing dimes to Curry would be spectacular.

[–] alfentazolam@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'm more picturing Steph's lobs.

Not sure if I prefer them dunked thunderously or gently caressed/guided/tipped into the rim. I think I'd want finesse over power

The answer is always Joker.

Well, we’ve seen what Murray and Jokic do together in the playoffs. I can’t think of a more natural upgrade than Murray to Curry.

But tbf Giannis would be like an upgrade over Dray so they’d both be unstoppable

How is this even a real question. Jokic no doubt

[–] DerGovernator@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Jokic kind of runs his own system, so I think that if you just dropped these players onto the same team tonight Curry/Giannis would be better, but if you gave them 3 months to work on the chemistry Curry/Jokic would have the higher ceiling.

Jokic, it's not close. Defensively sure Giannis but offensively Joker and Curry are game breaking.

[–] Albiceleste_D10S@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Curry+Jokic is MUCH better offensively, but it's kinda weak defensively. They would need really good defensive wings to make that work

Curry+Giannis is not as OP offensively because Giannis lacks the high-end shooting and passing that Jokic has; BUT that's still a high-powered offensive duo and a much easier/seamless defensive fit

[–] jakl8811@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Joker screens are better. Which is really the primary reason

[–] PooperJackson@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'm sure Giannis and Draymond could work together simply because of talent but they don't compliment each other at all. Another reason to take Jokic.

[–] Punjabiveer30@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If you think curry and durant was a cheat code, curry and jokic is about to be a cheat code on steroids

[–] MrDuck7658@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Giannis. He’s way more powerful and can definitely deliver when needed. Jokic isn’t really a good partner for Curry to be honest.

[–] ArtichokeFormer8801@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

What kind of question is this. The two-man game of Jokic and Curry would quite literally be the greatest duo in NBA history

[–] ShanghaiAdobo897@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'd have to say LeBron and curry tbh. 2016 LeBron and 2016 curry on the same team are ending games in the first quarter.

[–] pwidipirudipindi@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That's a bit of a stretch considering you'd compare them to kobe-shaq and magic-kareem on the top of my head.

[–] Yommination@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jokic being able to do his thing with Curry off ball would be absurd

[–] Negative_Ad3540@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Somehiw get Joker and Curry on the same team . The world demands it !

[–] Oil_trader24@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The Nugs have a new toy similar to Curry.

[–] gigglios@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Seeing as how jokix is in a tier above giannis the answer is very easy. Dumb question

[–] Anhedonic98@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Curry would average like 40ppg with jokic

[–] SandyMandy17@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jokic isn’t just better than Giannis, but he’s also just significantly smarter

He’d be way better at making Steph work optimally

He’s also won with a shooter like jamal next to him and has spent a lot of time with him

Giannis only just got a Dame last month

[–] ooSPECTACULARoo@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jokic.

Giannis and Dame is a bust

Jokic and it's not close.

[–] MC48_SportsLover@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jokic easily. With Jokic’s ability to generate open shots for teammates… and score with ease. Having him and Jokic on the same team would legit be unfair. Replace Murray with Curry and this is a 10 year dynasty.

[–] flipm0de2727@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

joker/steph picks would break the league lol

[–] stepcounter@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Having watched the Bucks the recently, I have to admit that Giannis is just not competent when it comes to the pnr game. Jokic has a better inside and outside game, his ability to adjust on the fly also puts him over Giannis.

[–] hardwaregeek@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Steph with Jokic would be a ridiculous offense but it might be a little tough on defense. The nuggets defense is built around hiding Jokic using hedges and show/recover schemes. It works well because they have a lot of size. The warriors defense is built similarly to hide Steph or at least prevent teams hunting him. And Draymond is a defensive savant.

I guess if they had versatile defenders like Draymond alongside them it’d work. Or they’d just score like 200 to 150 lol

Larry and Mike.

[–] eskayzie@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago
[–] Baby_Yod4@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I was gonna say Giannis until I saw him with Dame. Now the clear answer is Jokic.

[–] Plenty_Peach8843@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jok and Murray could three peat

[–] baxmussman@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jokic because fuck defence just score 180 a game.
