One of the dumbest trades ever and I'll die on that hill before and after they played games. Let's blow up a successful championship roster that's nowhere over the hill yet and get rid of by far the 2nd most important player on the team so we can pick up a viral marketing empty stat player who doesn't win and is rarely ever efficient and is consistently bottom 50 out of 500 NBA players in all defensive metrics. Yet another reason why he'll never be many peoples GOAT. It's always been told to us and shoved down our throats instead of naturally being put in the position by the people. Imagine a player in any other sports league getting propped up to this position with a losing championship record, it's absolutely absurd and would be laughed at.
Gambling should just be outright illegal as it does nothing but negative things to society but it's 2023 so we're just gonna embrace the shittiest possible timeline and do everything wrong.
Increased pace, higher efficiency, more threes, and less defensive effort. There were times like the 50s where teams shot significantly more than today (like 30 more FGA per team) and played with an even higher pace but they didn't get 30pt games much because the best scorers in the game were all shooting 37% FG.
