Umm I’m not an expert. But DLo Russell is that guy. Not Austin Reeves. Look how much the LAL are paying DLO and how much they are paying Austin Reaves. If he was supposed to be the third star, contracts would switch between the two.

Who genuinely believed he was going to be a star? It was the media that was pumping out propaganda trying to make it a thing. Perkins has for sure hyped him up and now suddenly is like woah woah woah we’ve never said this! Yeah whatever.

Perk is correct. Sorry but the amount of praise Reaves got was nuts, guys like Windhorst saying Spurs should offer him a max contract, seeing the media call the Lakers - Nuggets series the closest sweep ever and things like that are unforgivable. These same people then spent whole year talking shit about Wolves or other contracts like FVV/Brooks.
