How do you like the breitling, I’ve been really wanting the datora for my next watch

[–] mdcohen@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I was at a Breitling store yesterday. The Datora is gorgeous but chunky. I didn’t care for on my 6 3/4” wrist.

I'm excited to share my watch collection with you all! I've been collecting watches for a couple of years now, but I've decided to take a break from collecting to enjoy the watches I already have.

One of the things I've learned is that it's okay to have quartz watches in your collection. I used to think that all watch collectors had to have automatic watches, but I've realized that quartz watches can be enjoyable especially when I am in a pinch and I don't have to set the time.

I'm really happy with my watch collection, and I'm looking forward to enjoying it for many years to come. Thank you again to the watch collecting community from where I have learnt a lot about watches.

Wow, really beautiful pieces! My favorites are the GS and the Breitling, what incredible dials, all around great collection.

[–] spath16@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I can appreciate the range of dials, brands, and colors in this collection! It seems very unique and thoughtful so kudos to you.

Which one(s) gets the most wrist time?

[–] Endie_C@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

No you are not! AP>Casio Oak then your done ✅

[–] scryptbreaker@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nah man that G-Shock isn’t trying to be a RO, way different vibes. Especially with the digital screen. I think it brings a much different aesthetic in to round out OP’s kit.

[–] PackageNo7044@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Very well rounded and beautiful collection.

[–] drthomk@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Love that Nomos, been enamored by them since I found TZ in 1998

[–] 2012Tribe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Love that AT dial! Nice collection

[–] datboi1985@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is a lovely collection. We have similar taste! (But you have more money, lol)

The pistachio and GS are two of my grails

[–] wood-thrush@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I really like the strap choice for the Nomos.

[–] layonesque@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Love the diversity! Something for every occasion and some spicy dials. May I ask what (brand) this pouch is?

[–] ThomHarris@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

‘Spicy dials’ is my new favourite catch phrase.

[–] shanki2k8@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I got this one from Etsy, pretty great for the price, the Delugs ones I wanted were way too expensive.

[–] bushware@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Looks like a perfect set to me.

[–] georgetemperley@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would say the Rolex, the Omega and the Grand Seiko are my favourites. I really liked the Nomos as well.

[–] benigma@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is truly lovely. Unique pieces to this sub!

[–] Technicholl@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Great collection!

[–] david_leo_k@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Now THIS is an interesting collection. Thanks for a refreshing post.

[–] Then-Committee580@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Great collection

[–] Ok_Salamander_7088@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Great collection, what strap.you are using for G-shock?

[–] innie10032@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Beautiful.

You must be proud

[–] gdanko@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Breitling is dope.

[–] OOF-MY-PEE-PEE@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Great selection, kudos. What's the GS ref number? It looks like an Omiwatari to me but with a date wheel and the excellence star.

[–] leberkaesweckle42@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Super tasteful and diverse collection. Love the pistachio Breitling and the red AT. But the rest is also pure class!

[–] Expensive-Nobody-2@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Beautiful collection. Lots of personality and style.

[–] Johnny23412@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Where did you get the strap for the g shock?

[–] sheldonmeetshomer@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I really like the variety, it looks like you’ve given this collection a lot of thought.

[–] Artistic_Roley@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Beautiful collection!

[–] mightbedonehere@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Great variety, excellent taste!

[–] theanonwonder@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Love it, nice colours and great combinations.

[–] External_Touch_3854@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That is the only G-Shock I’ve ever seen that I actually wanted. That thing is dope! Not to diminish the rest of your collection, but that G-Shock is so unique!

[–] SanderDieman@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wanna bet you’re nowhere near done? Nice start though, colourful

[–] R0hanisaurusRex@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What’s the GSHOCK? Looks great!

[–] SeefKroy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I respect a man whose watches are all set to different times.

[–] CaptainPhukflaps@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That's a lovely collection, you have great taste

[–] plk7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nicely played!

[–] GloatGoat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would MAYBE just swap the Nomos or omega for a reverso or cartier santos, get something thats not round. I never liked squares till i forced myself to a reverso, now its my number one.

[–] HK_Ootoot@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

SOLID collection! Nicely done OP. That G-shock even works even though it’s not really my cup of tea

[–] MisterGrimes@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Perhaps the most well-rounded collection I've seen here in a while.

It's got color, it's got formal, and it's got sporty.

And the choice of bracelets on the Nomos, GS, and Breitling are chefs kiss

[–] JayJFlo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Really nice collection! How does the AT wear? Love it…but shying away because slightly small for my 6.75 wrist.

[–] heresiarch619@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Excellent taste, no notes

[–] cg1308@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That’s a lovely box of treats. Nice variety of shapes, colours and applications. I’m always particularly pleased to see a collection that doesn’t follow the ABC of watch collecting… (sub, speedy,SMP). GS is the pick of the bunch for me. 👌🏻

Edit. Oh “my collection is complete” 🤣🤣 You say that now. Give it 3 months. You’ll get the itch.

[–] excts@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fire collection.

[–] mesazoic@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I don’t usually comment on these but this collection is incredible. Great taste!

[–] Comprehensive_Oil426@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think all the bases are covered. Well done! You can take a break now.

[–] VGEez@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Really really nice.
