Just put Jokic in the PnR and you’ll beat him every time

In that same breath, Jokic doesn’t play defense

People think the Bulls are pathetic but actually they're one of the least embarrassing sports teams in Chicago

[–] Answer70@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

That Jalen Green is a ball hog.

[–] mbopok13@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Not so much the last year or two but before that people wouldn’t shut up about how the Orlando Magic make the 8 seed every year and get knocked out as a diss or something A) We have had the worst record in the NBA over the last ten years. We sure as hell don’t make the playoffs all the time B) I wish that was the case because it’s much better than averaging 25 wins each season.

That Kyrie Irving needs the ball in his hands and isnt a great off ball guard

Apparently people think that Gregg Popovich, of all people, is completely unaware that the team looks better with Tre Jones at PG than with Sochan.

Although half of our fanbase seems to think that too, so I don't know if it counts for this question.

There are a lot of Hawks fans, but the Atlanta metro is a huge geographic area (when I was in college, we were considered Atlanta metro and we were 45 minutes away on a good day). Atlanta has a ton of people from other regions living in the city. I work in the middle of Atlanta on a team of 18 and only 2 of us are from GA. The rest are from NY, New Orleans, DC, Wisconsin, San Francisco, LA, and more. Add in that our airport having so many flights (and direct flights at that) it makes it so easy for other fans to just fly in for the night and come to a road game for their team. So when you see the arena half full of other fans, that's why. But we have a lot of fans here. Hardcore Hawks fans.

I mean thats how chicago and new york are too. And they always sell out with hometown fans.I went to loyola which is at least 2 hours public transit or 45 minutes(sometimes more with traffic) in a car to get to united center. and that place is always sold out with bulls fans even tho they sucked terribly when i lived there. (It was the elton brand years)...you can say the same thing about airports. Both nyc and chi have multiple major airports

That the ownership group has never been willing to go into the tax. People fixate on the Harden situation from 12 years ago and act like that’s happened throughout the team’s history. But the ownership group added a billionaire since then, and not only have they paid the tax. They’ve paid the repeater tax. They had the highest payroll in the league at one point.

Starbucks is responsible for Sonics leaving because they got denied a permit at the Center. That’s actually true.. I just wanted to drop it in here. Happy for OKC tho.

The Warriors just shoot threes. Couldn't be more wrong. The Warriors success is based on defense. Turning the ball over and going out on runs. With the other team's defense NOT set, they get open looks. Those threes you see during the dynasty are mostly on the break.

[–] congenitallymissing@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

To be fair last year the led in three point attempts. The year previous they were 3rd and the year previous to that ylthey were 5th

Theyre certainly not ONLY a 3 point shooting team, but they demonstrably lead the league in attempts

Lakers: that Lebron is the best player on the team. He’s obviously the engine of the offense and still a beast. However, anyone who watched the playoffs can tell you that AD was the one opposing teams feared the most. Even when he wasn’t scoring 30, AD was manhandling the DPOY and had the defending champions scrambling for answers.

[–] Syndana23@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

That we give a fuck if the media covers the lakers or any other major market more than us

[–] Willigers27@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Sixers chose Tobias Harris over Jimmy Butler

[–] thewrongnotes@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Moe Wagner is a goon with no skill. Also that he's only still with the team because of nepotism.

[–] archerarcher0@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Jaylen can’t dribble

[–] babysamissimasybab@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

The Pacers have a bad defense.

(it's atrocious)

[–] 2screens1guy@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

some other fans believe that Jordan pushed off, I believe this to be false /s

[–] 127crazie@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Hmm... maybe that KAT's defense is still a complete sieve? This feels like a common belief of many other teams' fans, but while he's still not playing good defense, he has become moderately better over the last few seasons. This year so far is probably his best defense yet (not saying that it's elite or anything).

[–] RainbowYaz@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Sometimes I get the feeling that other fan's teams, especially big market teams like LA, view us as some sort of feeder team, though I'm sure other small market teams have similar feelings at times.

[–] No_Longer_A_Menace@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

We are not actual ancient wizards. What the players do when they step on the court is to imagine how a decrepit old magician would play basketball and proceed to play that way. Then after the final whistle they resume their everyday lives as the athletic freaks of nature they are.

Don't let your eyes deceive you. It's all a cheap trick.

That the sins and flaws of our GMs are something that fans can and should be mocked for.

The way that the people who harp on wasting KG’s prime, drafting 2 PGs ahead of Steph, having Jimmy embarrass us, and the Gobert trade are some sort of weapon to use against us as fans. That we should be ashamed and just move on to cheering for another team, because our “poverty franchise” is always gonna be a “poverty franchise.”

It’s the under current that exists in every “Play-In Champions” joke, whether that joke is made on Reddit by some other fan, or if it’s the Inside the NBA crew laughing at us.

Not every one is like this. But those that like to bring these things up as an argument against a Wolves fan (and there are plenty of these people), this is definitely present: our franchise are stupid losers, and we’re stupid losers for following them and wanting them to succeed.

[–] BiscuitsforMark@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Hey dw y'all look real spooky this year

[–] loplopplop@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

"To beat the Nuggets just put Jokic in a ton of pick and rolls!"

[–] Trent313@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

That giddey is our second best player probably

[–] Brokromah@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Oh man this will be interesting..

[–] Brokromah@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Ben Simmons likes basketball.
